1. Determine the raw materials:

Low carbon steel: Mild hardness is low, plasticity and toughness are good, carbon content is less than or equal to 0.25%

Medium carbon steel: The carbon content of medium carbon steel is between 0.25% and 0.60%, with high strength and hardness.

Among carbon steel materials, low carbon steel is more widely used to make nuts, and the cost is relatively low.

Stainless steel: Generally used for small bolts and nuts, corrosion-resistant

Where are the raw materials: Carbon steel is soaked in a pickling tank to remove oil and rust, and the straightener straightens the steel wire

2. Determine the performance level of the bolt

The standards of each country are different. According to the hardness, tensile strength and yield strength of the raw materials, they can be divided into: 3.6, 4.8, 5.6, 5.8, 6.8, 8.8, 9.8, 10.9, 12.9 ten grades. The higher the bolt grade, the higher the tensile strength and yield strength, and the greater the bearing capacity.

Grade 8.8 and above must be quenched. Heating furnace. Cooling tower. Grade 8.8 and below. Ordinary bolts generally do not need to be treated. Grade 10.9 and 12.9 bolts are suitable for equipment that needs to withstand greater impact or vibration, such as pneumatic punches, mechanical punches, etc.

3. Determine which machine to use for production.

(1) Cold forging machine is recommended for M16 and below.

(2) Punching machine is recommended for M18-30.

(3) Hydraulic press is recommended for M30 and above.

4. Confirm the production plan.

(1) Cold forging machine is used for diameters below M16. Cold forging machine stamping forming--trimming machine trimming--thread rolling machine. Advantages: No need to change the mold, saving the cost of

changing the mold. Production efficiency: 50-80/minute. Disadvantages: High price, long debugging time when changing the size. It takes a long time to adjust the diameter, length and size. It takes about a day to test.

(2) Punching machine is used for M16 and above. Bar cutting machine--automatic feeder (feed the cut nuts into the automatic feeder) Then select those unqualified products that are cut off--high temperature treatment in heating furnace--manipulator assisted handling--punch stamping--tapping machine--thread rolling machine
