The progressive die stamping line is the most common and high-speed configuration used for producing standard electrical wall boxes — such as 4×4 inch square boxes, handy boxes, and switch boxes. This method uses a single heavy-duty press equipped with a complex multi-stage mold.
A continuous metal coil is automatically uncoiled, leveled, and fed into the press through a precision feeding system. The progressive die stamps the box in sequential stages: first piercing knockouts and holes, then cutting the perimeter profile, and finally deep-drawing the metal into a three-dimensional box shape. With CNC automation and touchscreen control interface, the multi-step stamping process can be programmed effortlessly.

The fully integrated stamping line — consisting of coil holder, leveling machine, servo feeder, press machine, and stamping die — is controlled by PLC and fully automatic, requiring only one operator for the entire line.
For larger industrial boxes, distribution cabinets, and heavy-duty electrical enclosures (supporting material thicknesses up to 1.5mm), the roll forming production line offers unmatched flexibility. This method allows dimension adjustments without expensive tooling changes.
The steel coil is uncoiled and passes through a hydraulic punching station to add screw holes and knockouts. It then moves through a series of consecutive forming rollers that gradually shape the sidewalls before a hydraulic folding mechanism bends it into a four-sided box.
Our Integrated Production Line Configuration
A complete BESCO junction box production line includes: coil holder → leveling machine → servo feeder → press machine → junction box stamping mold, all controlled by PLC for full automation. By simply replacing the stamping die, the same equipment can produce junction boxes of different sizes, offering exceptional versatility.
